Do you make custom sizes?

Do I need to seal or treat the cedar?
Natural cedar is highly resistant to rot, decay, and insects, so it does not require sealing to last. Left untreated, it will naturally weather to a beautiful silvery-gray over time. However, if you want to preserve the warm, original wood color, I recommend applying a food-safe, UV-resistant exterior stain or sealer annually.
How long will these planter boxes last?
Because I use high-quality natural cedar, you can expect your planter boxes to last anywhere from 10 to 15+ years, depending on your local climate and whether they are exposed to direct soil contact.
Are your planters safe for growing vegetables and herbs?
Yes, 100%. We do not use chemically treated or pressure-treated wood. Our planters are made from 100% natural, untreated cedar, making them completely safe for growing organic vegetables, herbs, and edible plants.
Do these planters have drainage holes?
Yes. Proper drainage is vital for root health. All of our planter boxes come with pre-drilled drainage holes (or spaced floor slats) to prevent water logging and root rot.
Should I use a plastic liner inside the planter?
While not strictly necessary, using a porous landscape fabric liner is highly recommended. It keeps the soil inside the box, prevents it from escaping through drainage holes, and helps extend the lifespan of the wood by preventing direct, constant moisture contact.
